Ok so I already fixed the typical tilt steering column issue where the torx bolts were loose. BUT, my steering wheel flops around above where the tilt joint is at. I may have reassembled wrong? When I put the spring and steering wheel back on and tighten the bolt, it seems as though I am compressing the spring more than before?
In reverse order, I put the bearings (and retainer in), I put the piece that looks like a crown with open end towards the bearings and rounded end out towards steering wheel then the spring then the plate and lock ring? Should the bearings and the crown looking thing press down into the column further? Does anyone have a diagram of this particular part of the assembly?
