Stiff steering

Put 33's on my 91 about a year ago, my steering is getting stiff. Do you guys think its the gear box or pump going bad???

There is off-roading and there is NO-ROADING

I would put money on power steering pump! does it use fluid or does it whine when turning?

Had that happen to my 89. Since I had to replace the pump I decided to also replace the steering box, pitman arm, power steering hoses and steering shaft (the U joints were corroded). Now it steers like it was new and it's alot safer. Just my opinion, but depending on your mileage and wear on those components you should consider your steering as a system in order to be safe considering the size rubber your running, lift, etc.
