Could just have 1" shackles, you can really only fit 30's under the stock suspension, unless you change flares.

I know it's taller than that though because 33s could fit easy, do you know what the stock height is so I could just measure and subtract the difference?

no idea, but if you can fit 33's then you have about a 4" lift.

differential

From what I understand, the differential height is 9" and the height to the body under the door is 18". Measure the differential height, compensate for the door height and the rest is lift.

I have a 6in lift with 33s and the body underneath the door is 26 inches and my differentials are 11inches.

that works out

11" at the differential minus the 9" = 2".
2" tire add + 6" lift = 8"

18" + 8" = 26".

33" tires against 29" stock is 4" = 2" higher differential.

Love it when a plan comes together.

Dang!!

And just when I thought the plan had come together....

Mine is a 94 stock, 9" to bottom of front differential and 18" to body. But my springs look very flat and I figured they had settled a little. But the spec's call for 18".

Could just be the difference in spring arc.

I have P235/75 R15 tires. P205/75 R15's are what came stock on the YJ.
I would say your calculations are pretty accurate.

You can't go by the math exactly. Over the years the jeep will sag some.

that's what I was checking

It looked like my springs had sagged as there was only about 1.5" between axle and snubbers. But according to the original specs (9"/18") mine was right on. Actually it was 9" to diff and I have 235's on it. But only 1/2" there.

Do i subtract for tire what is stock tire 28 inches

add or subtract

Measure the height to the bottom of the differential. Say it is 9.75". Then add .75" to 18". The bottom of the door should be 18.75 for standard suspension. If yours is 20.75, then you have a 2" lift.

Ok. Rear diff is 8.75 inches. And bottom of door is a little bit above 22 1/2 and.have 31 inch tires. So .i guess i.have a 2 1/2 lift. I guess 33s will work
