**Stripped Tailgate Bolt with Broken Extractor Update

Hi all - this is an update to my earlier post of stripped taigaite bolts, with broken off extractor inside it. After much pb blaster, my grinder, and my air hammer, I was able to finally spin it off.

I am pretty psyched...I held the tailgate over my head and laughed like the sand people from star wars, or the pyro from tf2, depending on your age.
You can see the broken extractor embedded in the middle.

:-)

work on a little rust on the bottom of the tailgate, and see if the hinges can be restored, they are pretty chipped with some rust from the pin. If not, I will put on new tailgate hinges.

This is my project jeep I bought this spring, only for good weather, garaged in the winter. I plan on working on the problems over time, replacing and fixing any issues.

Other plan for sooner than later is to get rid of a little frame surface rust here and there and then coat the frame with some bar chain oil, my welder is a land rover guy and he swears by it.
