Stuck shackle bolt.

Before i dig out the sawzall.... The rear shackle bolt wont come out, Everything is off the leaf spring is just hanging by its front mount with a bolt through it. The nut came off no problem and the bolt will even spin but I cant hammer the bolt through the shackle and through the bushing to get it out. What could be hanging it up? Figured id ask since i have to go to work now anyway. Ill probably just wind up cutting it out and getting a new bolt for it. I just dont see what its stuck on...

The only other way is heat it with a torch the budging is gonna melt away and smell but you'll get that bolt to separate from the sleeve and come. Right out so no torch sawzall

I had the same issue. I used an electric impact driver and quickly reversed directions back and forth. I squirted some PB Blaster in there too. After about a half hour it broke loose. I then hammered it out. Took some time and effort. It was by far the hardest bolt to remove while doing the lift.

I used a cut off wheel on my angle grinder to get the bolts out of both rear springs.. it sucks but common on these older jeeps...

Torch, impact, and a big long air hammer with round head with appropriate compressor. Spent 40 for all 4. All were dead locked in the sleeves.
