Sunrider soft top for my YJ

Hi,

I love driving my Jeep, but I am not very knowledgeable. I think I just got screwed on Ebay. I was told the soft top I bought fit 95 YJ's but when I recieved it, the top attached to the windshield with snaps and my windshield has the channels. I read somewhere that the top might be a Sunrider. Can anyone explain to me if there is anyway to adapt the top to my Jeep and if they think that what the seller described was wrong?

Thanks,
Stacy Marie

I have been looking for a top too, I saw those where they are supposed to sell a separate tube that extends behind the back seat and the snaps were on that bar, you might be looking at the opposite side that has the windshield channel

Thanks guys.
Here are pictures of the section where the windshield meets the top. I did call whitney twice about the possibility of an adaptor...They were clueless. Talked to a dealership and they said that it was for a CJ7, but I am not sure if they are right. And if I sell it. I don't want to do to someone else what was done to me. Right now I would either like to find the bar that adapts it or what model it fits so I can sell it with the proper info. My next step is to bring it into a dealership, but I have just had spinal fusion surgery and that will be very hard for me to carry. So if I can avoid that, great.

No hardware. On your's, does the snap part connect to a header or the frame? You don't happen to have a picture of what your snaps connect too, do you? Because I know I need something but I have no idea what that is.

Thanks

Sunrider tops require all new hardware. There is a metal bar that the top snaps then you have clips that you have to screw in behind the visors. Hope this helps.

Hmm... That sucks you where sold a top that makes you go on a wild goose chase just to put the damn thing on! I don't know much about the sunrider top. I only know that having OEM hardware is a pain to find and it's hard to search for the right one on Ebay. I wouldn't mind looking into a frameless top or just an extended bikini. Oh to hell with it I'll just get a hard top

I got my top from Quadratec I think they sell the hardware and frames for around 700. It's a nice top for when the weather isn't as nice and you can just flip half of it back. But a pain to take off all the way!

If it hasn't been long file a claim on ebay and get your money back.

Hopefully she didn't give feedback but if not then ebay will take care of it.

I don't really shop on eBay for Jeep parts unless its something that I know will fit my Jeep to many people on there selling Jeep stuff and know nothing about them!

Yeah. I got screwed. I can send it back for a refund, but it will cost me $40 to return ship. Ebay coverage sucks. I usually go through Paypal. But the guy has his page set up where if you contact him about a problem it automatically files with Ebay and you can't file with both. The seller name is REATATRADINGCOMPANY, for anyone wanting to avoid being scammed on Ebay. He also has a PO box(assuming because he's trying to avoid getting beat up LOL!) and Ebay doesn't give you a return shipping label for PO boxes. They agreed that the guy lied but said they can't force him to pay return shipping. WTH?
Anyway...Now that I know what I have..Thanks to Jeepgirl94 ....I will just try and sell it. At this point, I don't trust the seller to refund me if I send it back. Thanks everyone! Let me know if anyone wants to buy a Sunrider top...CHEAP! HaHa.

Your Welcome! Hope you are able to sell it. It is a great top for the most part! Hopefully someone will have the frame for it and in need of a new top! Did it come with all the windows as well?

Yeah. It has back and two side windows. The top is in great shape and the windows are very clear. So it's a shame I can't use it.

Ohh also one other thing with that top is that the upper door halves have to be rounded to fit. Most yj uppers are squared.
