Swapping an 8.8 Rear End

How hard is it and is there any additional parts, changes, what has to be done to instal it. And can I install it myself?

I found one through a salvage yard with 4:10 gears and am picking it up Saturday for $250. Any advice on swapping this with my Dana 35 and parts/ adjustments that I will need to make are appreciated!!

I bought one 2 days ago for my money pit also. From what I can gather, The spring perches will have to be moved and you will need the flange from an explorer drive shaft to hook up your shaft to the rearend. I know there is more but I'm having mine done cause I'm re-gearing to 4.88's. Type in Ford 8.8 in the forum search and you'll get tons of info........Good Luck

you'll also need to work something out for your emergency brake.
