SYE or U-joints?

After installing an RC 2.5 inch lift and 1/2 inch lift boomerang shackles (gave me 3.5 total), I was getting drive line vibrations across the board. I put in a 1" TC drop and that helped a little. I replaced my transmission mount and that helped a little more so I put the T-case at 1/4" drop. At this point I'm getting vibrations that kick in at about 30mph and drop off at about 40mph.
I checked my rear U-joints this morning and there's no play in the one closest to the t-case, but the one closest to the rear dif has some very noticeable play in it.
I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile to replace the U-joint with all the play in it or if I'd be better off just calling Adams and ordering the SYE kit.

Has anyone had a loose U-Joint cause drive line vibration like this?

A worn u joint like that will cause vibrations. I would definitely replace it. Because a new u joint is cheap (less than $20), but a SYE ($200) and driveshaft ($250-300) isn't cheap at all.

Yeah, I think I'll replace that U-Joint and the straps for $15 and see what happens.

If you're getting to the point of doing the SYE, might wanna go ahead and do an axle upgrade if that's in the cards...

Can you post a pic of your driveshaft angle?

I was thinking about doing that but my fear was that I would keep piling on "stuff" and eventually get so close to spending what an SYE costs, I would have been better off with just getting the SYE.
