T-case is in - Now dealing with high idle and dieseling sound :(

Got the t-case in today along with a bunch a cussin and spittin, but it's in and she rolls down the road pretty good. Now back to a couple of previous problems. Like the title says, I get a high idle most of the time. It is fuel injected but I know nothing about these injection systems. 1987, 4cyl...Not sure how many miles. The odometer reads 107k but somehow I don't believe that. Can clutch it down some but it always idles back up and just doesn't sound right. The other thing is the dieseling sound that happens mostly at higher rpms. Can't really pinpoint what it is. Not sure if the motor is about to go or if something is just out of whack. Also hear a slight miss or pop coming from underneath me, maybe near the cat. I can tell because I still haven't sealed the shift boot and plates down. Can really get a good ear on what's goin on below me....lol. There's a definite and somewhat severe oil leak but I can't see where it's coming from. I'm thinking it may be up high on the motor(valve cover) because there's oil up that high but I'm not sure. Those are pretty much the issues I'm facing at the moment, other than the fact that 1 of the 2 previous owners cut the window frames off of the full steel doors which is really annoying. In order to fasten a soft window I basically have to put a bolt hole in the fabric, unless I can figure out a better way. Other than that I did get a chance to find some mud today underneath all this melting snow. Almost had to put it in 4x4. Steering is little squirly but it will definitely throw some mud past the flares....lol

This was before the mud...

Your Fuel Injection is Throttle Body. Means there is a single injector in a carburetor-like housing instead of a venturi.

Ok, I understand that. Had enough older chevy's to know what ya mean. Would the high idle be caused by a sensor or somethin? Is dieseling normal for the 2.5?
