First thought is the belt is not tight enough, serpentine belts have to be tight. Next make sure ALL of the pulleys are in line. If the engine was ever worked on the crank pulley might not be in line with the rest. Next make sure the idler pulley is good. Mine made a noise yet appeared fine. Clean all pulleys with brake cleaner and scotch pad, make sure belt is clean too.
On yours the computer regulates the alternator output unless the wrong alternator has been installed.
