A 1993 Yj will take 7 bulbs (2 tach, 2 speedometer, and 3 for oil gas temp and battery). Or is it 2 for the cluster and the 3rd is for the 4x4 indicator. Can anyone clarify please?

Yes. As long as they are #194 they work fine although IMO the 360 degree bulbs are the best for this application.

194 fits an 87. I have those in blue. Sometimes I think just clear would look better with a white jeep with white gauges.

Can anyone confirm this? Since the 91' YJ has the clock gauge in the middle instead of the 4x4 indicator I'll need 10 bulbs right?

My 87 has the clock in the middle and I needed 10 for the cluster, speedo and tach

I've got 90 yj and did the gauges yesterday. When I got to the speedo and tach, I couldn't find the bulbs. It looked like the lights were inside the speedo. Are the big ones changeable? Thanks.

The tac and speedo should be help in a single piece of white plastic, held by 2-4 screws. Take them out and pull out the housing a bit so you can reach behind the tac and speedo. and you should be able to reach both lights

I changed all of my gauge lights, and hvac bulbs to led in my 89 YJ the other night.
The bulbs I had used were T10 wedge's with 5 chips per bulb

Ebay I searched T10 led bulbs. It was 10.00 for 20 of them. Tonight I am using my remaining bulbs in my XJ's cluster
