Throttle body spacers

Anyone have input on which ones work best, brands, performance, etc? Do they really help gas mileage, what other things can help gas mileage; aside from losing the oversize tires. lol

well you have big tires and are lifte...so your screwed...ohh and don't forget you drive a box, i don't think anything you do is gonna give you any gains that will make you giggle. so sorry for the bad news but there you go. i am sure you can find a gallon or two extra somewhere though. go for it and tell us if it helps and if it doesn't you should get a little bit of power out of it

Only thing that's gonna help any of us on mileage is one of those water canister injection units that burns water along with the gas!

throttle body spacer

I installed a tarnsdapt throttle body spacer (from summit racing) ON MY 94' 2.5 4 CYL. I did not notice much of a difference. maybe 1 mpg gain. and slight more top end power. I have a good size hill I go over each day going to work, and this is where I noticed the slight top end power gain. But 1 mpg gain it does not take long to pay for itself with fuel at almost $4.00 per gallon.
I did notice a considerable gain in running a larger throttle body,I installed one from a 4.0 six cylinder. Then I gained even more when I ported it out to match the throttle body better. At normal driving conditions gained maybe another 1 mpg.But when you pound on it you drop the mpg down. I am finishing up putting back togethor my wrangler and one of the upgrades I did was installed a electric fan. I am curious to see how this helps with power and mpg.

LoL in that case, its a brick with a windshield in the way

The electric fan conversions seem to make difference. I'm planning on getting one for my 4.0 TJ.

Bigger throttle bodies will make your rigs mpg worse if you like to step on it. Reason for that is it has a bit more air, therefore has to add a bit more fuel. However they will help if you drive it nicely.

On my TJ currently i'm getting better mpg then i was getting stock (check my sig for mod list)
