Ticking sound when on the gas

Alright, so when I'm driving my YJ(95 2.5) and I'm on the gas there is a ticking sound. More pressure on the pedal the ticking gets faster. Back off the gas, and it stops. I'm thinking exhaust leak?? any ideas. At idle the sound is not there, only when on the gas.

I would say exhaust leak as well. Mine does that same thing but I do not think it is the exhaust manifold. Looking and the exhaust system on my jeep it seems as if somebody didn't know how to weld and I'm sure there are holes all in it. Also I'm not sure how and where the manifold and the pipes meet but on my z71 there was a donut gasket there that was out and it made the same noise. I replaced it and the noise went away. Just my .02

It is definitely an exhaust leak. However it is coming from the front of the manifold. Bad gasket possibly? Is there an easy way to fix this rather then pull the manifold and replace the gasket? All the bolts are in place and tight, and from what I can see the manifold is not cracked.

Sounds like either a cracked exhaust manifold or gasket, either way it has to come off.
