The YJ came with aftermarket alloys that i intend to return to the previous owner (friend of mine), I like the old steel jeep 15" wheels (like the one on the spare)
Any of you guys think I'm crazy for getting a set and cleaning them up to install the new tires?
I have put about 150 miles or so at 55-60 mph and it does great. Now I have never had sway bars so I am use to driving it a little different. I had a 4" rough country lift that i put thousands of miles on and the OME rides better....much better.
I think steel wheels are the way to go myself. I am running ProComp steel soft 8's. Something to keep in mind is that new ones are pretty cheap. Regardless of the brand you can get "d" window or soft 8's for about $50-$60 each. May be less hassle than cleaning up a set but again that is up to you.
