Timin, fuel/air problem, please help!

Wrangler 4.0i HO 1993:

When I start the jeep it runs fine, but the second time sometimes it runs bad, I can hear it from the exhaust. When I hit the gas, nothing
reacts, I can feel that the enige is willing, but it doesn't rev up. Link there's no fuel. If I start a third time it runs great again.

When I drive in 5th gear 90 km/h and I hit the gas for power, same problem, but not all the time, it doen't rev up, untill I hit the gas slowly.
Also, when I let loose the gaspedal, the exhaust makes hard banging noises.

From the first time on, I always did a reset via the batterypoles and the problem was gone. Later on I learned that just turning off/on the ignition
whas enough to make it run okay. I never had any codes! (Only 12,33,55)

I think it's a timing or a fuel/air problem.

I already did:

1) replaced complete ignition: sparks, cables, rotor, coil etc.
2) replaced fuelfilter, O2 sensor
3) replaced vacuumlines
4) cleaned the throttlebody/airfilter
5) cleaned the fuellines, gastank en fuelpump.

I also have a grand cherokee V8 so it was possible for me to change some sensors like TPS, CTS etc. I referd to RockAuto Auto Parts to check if
the sensors were the same.

I also checked the fuelpressure in idle mode, 39psi en 3psi (vavuum) maybe I should also check it when I'm driving?

I have this problem for 7 months now, when I bought the car and it drives me grazy!! I also posted on the dutch jeepforum en everybody is helpfull
but nothing seems to work.

Is there someone with some new ideas? Please help and thnaks in advance guy's!!

Ramon

The MAP sensor may be bad. This can cause some of your symptoms.

No need to, cause I haven't any, I replaced it with a Cherrybomb.

I'd replace the MAP with one from a friend; makes no difference.

Depending on how bad your exhaust manifold is leaking, it can cause a rich condition because of the excess oxygen it senses.
