Tire vs Rim size ( another wheel size question )

Hi, I am buying rims and tires this weekend and I need a gap of information filled.

I have a 95 2.5 yj S with stock tires and a new 4 inch RC lift. I am looking at tire and rim size and debating my options. I know I want at least a 10 inch wide and 32 inch tire. My question is about rim size???

Q- Would upgrading to a 16 inch rim be better? gas mileage wise and trail wise?

Q- Would a 10 or 10.5 inch wide tire fit on a 8 inch wide rim or should I get a 10 wide rim?

Q- should I find a rim with back spacing?

Q- what is a ideal set up for my needs?

Thanks....

15x8 with about 3.5 back spacing. 15" tires are cheaper to buy. I run a 15" rim with 35's. I'll change to a 16" rim when I do a front 44 swap just to clear the brakes.

For a 32" tires I will guess its 11.50 wide, the 8" rim is fine. As stated a 15" rim is fine too, and the tire will cost less. I run 33x12.50's on 15x8 with 4" back spacing and a get a slight rub at full turn.

Ok, thats what I wanted to know.

Another thing is that I am leaning toward an aluminum Rim like the Mickey Thompson Classic black 2. I have been reading about rims and Ya the steel is cheaper and you can bang out dents but 17 pounds compared to 40 is a major deciding factor
