Tires

What size lift would be needed for 40" tires on a YJ? I know there are a lot of other things needed along with the lift. Just looking for a general estimate!! Thanks

Jp has been building a YJ on 40's

A stretch wouldn't hurt either

1.5in SOA, with opened up fenders you can run 40's. A 2in stretch front and rear would help alot.

Here's a pic 1.5 SOA with a full Metalcloak set and 37's

Same lift but new armor set up and a new set of 37's

I'm stretching the front and rear here in a couple weeks.

That depends...do you own a sawzall? You could fit them without lift if you cut away enough sheetmetal.
