Question TJ Soft Top On YJ?

Got a friend of a friend that is parting out his TJ & it has a nice soft top with frame. He says he'll give a deal on it. So will it even fit? Will it need modifications? And what is a decent price for all of it? I will be using full hard doors on my YJ.

Also will the stock TJ mirrors that fit over the hinge fit on my YJ hinges?

Thanks guys!

Don't take this as expert advice seeing as I have a yj but no tj, I'm nearly positive the top is not interchangeable

Soft top wont fit, windshield angle is different. The soft top will be too long. No idea on the mirrors though.

it's set up completely different than a YJ.. It has handles that you lock into the windshield channel, like an older convertible BMW or Mustang etc..

It can be done but it's a lot of work and you have to change the roll bar as well. I've read a couple write ups and they did a story in jp mag. The write ups Ive read said it's much more work than the jp story implies but all of them were very happy with their results and the ease with putting the top up and down.
