Question tj top on yj?

just bought used hard top off a '94 yj for my '95, fits perfect but upper doors are a problem, top has the offset at handle where the yj is straight. am i going to have to rig something or swap out with some tj parts, i've got steel lower half doors now. will tj sliders or full doors fit?

thanks,
hopalong

I'm not sure what you mean. 94 and 95 are both YJ models. I;m assuming you didn't mean to say you had a TJ hardtop on yoir YJ as it will not fit. Are you saying that you have half doors for the YJ? If so, you'll need full doors with the hardtop.

Thumbs up

the top must be original equip. off the '94, has chrysler glass anyway. what's confusing me is the top offsets about 3'' forward of the bottom door's back edge & i thought yj doors were straight all the way up, at least some i've seen for sale were ( maybe off cj-7?). owned a slew of jeeps but nothing near this "new". would the fiberglass sliders work? thanks, hopalong

edit: just checked ebay & found full doors w/offset for sale, also the sliders in both types. apparently the straight back only fits soft top, i'll have to get sliders for hard top or full doors. i checked with local discount jeeparts & they tried to tell me i had tj top on yj. i knew there was reason i quit shopping there.
thanks,
hopalong
