to be honest i havent had my yj in a year

with lack of time i put my jeep in a shop 15 miles away from the house because it needed frame repair, had rot in front and rear.

also while there i had them go ahead and put a 4inch rc suspension lift on, they said it would take a month to do well, now it has been a year and still my yj is in the shop, im going crazy i want my jeep back..
even with my heavy work load i could have learned how to doit myself and had it on the road months ago..

i first posted that this would be my first build.. but i was talking about it being my first, then i have a 48 willys i was going to have them do but not now--i will be taking that one on myself..

im on a very tight budget so i will have to pay them first and then start my willy build..

sorry for the complaining, just had to vent... haveing bad withdrawls..1 only got to drive this jeep 6 or 8 times before it went in (my wife suprized me with it on my b-day over a year ago..

also i wish i had found this forum sooner--like a year ago..
you guys are great and i have learned so much on building..i use to weld for a living and now searching for another welder to do my own metal work..

thanks for listening

bap

Good Luck and Stay tuned Brother..
I can relate. I've researched, bought parts (a new frame and fenders, tailgate windshield, radiator etc) the list is going to get long because this will be a tutorial in rust abatement. Not so much lifting. I've hired a semi retired guy with long mechanical and body shop experience to be a lead mechanic and kinda oversee our work. JD's Auto Body will be painting sand blasting and prepping as well as the final paint. and I'm on a tight budget as well as pressed for time as this Jeep will be my Daily Driver when finished.
