Track bars??

Has anyone broke a leaf spring after they took their track bars off?? Just curious!!

140,000 miles without track bars and no issues at all, about 30,000 was on the stock spring with a spring over.

Been running without them for years and no problems. How did they break? Did something rust apart?

Mine haven't broke. I was just wondering cause my dad was telling me how I needed then or my leafs would break!! So I wanted to ask you guys about it

Haven't had mine on for a while. Only side effects I've found so far are better ride on road and better articulation off road.

let your dad know that from about 1941 to 1986 they didn't have track bars..

tell your father trac bars are for coil sprung axles, not leaf.. they only bind leaf spring suspensions

If anything, your leafs will break with them ON!!! Because they cause the entire system to bind up.

95% of leaf sprung vehicles don't use track bars. Jeep YJ's are the only ones that use them on leafs.
