Trailer Hitch Question

I have a 92YJ with 2.5L, 5 spd. I want to add a trailer hitch to tow a small boat weighing about 1000#. This should be no problem based on tow ratings. I have rear bumperettes and would like to upgrade to a nicer bumper with an integral 2" receiver. I like the Rugged Ridge tube bumper w/ hitch but it looks like it may be a bit flimsy for towing. I can't afford any of the more expensive units. Does anyone have any experience with this bumper or others. Thanks.

I had a Smitty Built similar to that on the 93... and I would not have towed 1000# anywhere with it...... just sayin'.....

I run a piece of square tube for a rear bumper... Plasma cut a hole for a receiver i got from tractor supply. If you can do it yourself, find scrap tubing and it will cost about 50 bucks and it will be beefier than most you will empty your wallet for. I'm sure a local shop could hook you up cheap as well. It's a fairly easy build. I have towed more than any jeep.
