Trailer light trouble

He previous owners of my 87 wrangler yj had installed towing and trailer plug but didn't put the trailer plugin in right. I am trying to fix it but can't seem to find a T connector for the plug to run the tail lights and trailer without short outs. Any ways to get around this problem. Not as easy as buying a plug and play system like I did my truck.

I put one of these in on my '93: Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring by Tow Ready for 1993 Wrangler - 118356

It worked like a charm. No splicing needed.

Just don't use those blue crimp things, junk....splice and solder with heat shrink over it...should have no problems

X2 on the t taps. They're garbage. Solder and tape. With some shrink tubing. Best way to go.
