tranny leak

I have a 88 yj , with a tf999 auto tranny,i can drive all day and the tranny won't leak , that leaves me to think it's not a rear or front seal , if I don't use the jeep for a day or two it will leak a 1/2 quart to a full quart, it looks like it's leaking around the back of the pan , im stumped I don't no if it's leaking from the back of the pan or above the back of the pan ,if the leak is coming from somewhere above the pan won't you think it would leak when your driving,im thinking when it sit's the fluid goe's down to the pan and out , if that make's any séance to anyone please help , thank you.

When you are driving anytime it is running the pump is ciculating the fluid. It is when you stop and shut it off that all the fluid returns to the pan. So you have a static leak at or above the pan.

I am work and will look in the FSM later and get back to you.

what the chance it can be the oil pan , cause last year I replaced it and I striped one bolt in the rear of the pan ,and about the last 6 months I just keeped putting in fluid in it so last week I went under the jeep and on the rear of the pan there are like 6 bolts the two end one's where backed out , and the middle one's where only hand tight. is there a chance I ruined the pan gasket,

I would definitely fix that first. I would believe that you can get a filter and gasket and a couple quarts of fluid fairly easy. Don't forget some gasket sealer also.
