Tranny pArt question

Ok so there is a little bolt like thing that bolts into the passenger side of the tyranny. It's got a ball bearing at the end that plugs into the tranny. It's got two wires that hook up to it from one of the pig tails on the harness. Wth is it?

Pretty sure that is the Neutral safety switch.

If it's above the drain plug, the that switch is the reverse lights switch... According to the service manual.

It's reverse switch. YJ's don't have a neutral safety switch
