What is the model number for a 3 speed trans in a 93 with the 2.5, and what is a good price for a working used one.

ax5, and they are turds. 300-500 for a used working trans is pretty average.

4cyl? synchro's are very very common. it doesn't help the fluid the factory put in eats them.

yes............kidding. changing the fluid is obviously easy and cheap. start there, run regular 50w oil.

Is there another option for the 4 banger? I am going to buy a 93 for $500.00 if I can get a trany for it.

the older dodge dakota pick ups that had the 2.5 motor used the ax 15 trans, which is a good trans. that bellhousing out of the dakota can allow you to use the ax15 trans in your 4 cyl jeep. ax15 is the same trans in the 4.0 jeeps.
