The external slave cylinder swap is a good idea, but its a costly one, unless you have a junk yard close by so that you can get the parts from a donor vehicle. You basically need everything new in the bell housing area. The line down from the clutch master cylinder is different, so is the bell housing, the slave cylinder, then you also need a throwout bearing and a new clutch fork, and as long as you got it apart, the only part that you don't have to change is the clutch, but you might as well because the tranny is out and its right there. I did the swap on mine, and with me doing all the labor, i had approx. $1200 into it, and i got the bell housing from a junk yard. Everything else i went with new parts.
