Is this on pavement or dirt/gravel? It almost sounds like the chain is skipping. You see the front and rear don't turn at exactly the same speed so as you travel tension builds between the front and rear and eventually the tension becomes great enough to cause the chain to skip a tooth on one of the gears inside the t-case. This doesn't normally happen on dirt, gravel, mud or any surface with less traction. On dry pavement it isn't uncommon for this to happen if driven for any distance. You could have a stretched chain or just too much traction for using 4WD. Dunno without hearing the sound.

It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president."

if its a countinuous poping noise and you still have 4wd then its most likely u joints. if you have no four wheel drive its either in your t case or front diff. first thing do is grab your front drive shaft and see if its loose anywhere. if it is check your u joint on that side
