There's about 50 threads on this forum & others stating GL4 is the stuff to use and GL5 is not.
There are some other people that use synthetic 10w30 and have had good luck, but I think MT-90 is the best method, however it may be the more expensive route, but its a pretty important part of the vehicle why skimp.
I just did mine yesterday used royal purple 75w/90....next time i will use valvoline synchromesh. royal purple is a little pricy for me but seems to run nice and smooth.
