Transmission and Speedometer question?

Just had the Transmission re-built. Now my speedometer isn't working...
Related?
I looked underneath and the cable seems to be attached to the tranny. But, would something be disconnected inside the transmission?

Thanks.

And that may be where I followed the cable to see if it was attached. The transfer case. Is it behind the transmission?
Thanks
