Tune ups

How often does everyone recommend doing them? What all do you replace?

I don't know what a shop considers it, but I've always been familiar with changing oil, filter, air filter, plugs, wires, and distributor cap. Depending on what's been done on the jeep and how you've serviced it, I would save up a little $ and take a saturday to change tranny oil, oil in the axles, and all of the above mentioned. Heck, even change out the coolant. If you do it all with good products it should last a long time.

Factory recommends (from my days as a service writer at Jeep) every 30k change all fluids (diffs, xfer, trans), new belts, new filters, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor. VERY important on the ZJ platform with the viscous xfer clutches, but didn't seem to cause as many problems if missed on the YJ and TJs...
