Turn signal knob broke

Hey guys I was wondering if their is an easy fix or a walk through on how to replace the turn signal knob on my 95 yj?

Today on the way home i pushed it down to turn right and it just went limp. Can't get it to activate the turn signals. The wiper and high beans work just not the signals

Any suggestions?

I got the wheel and lock ring off. So now I can see that the little arm that actuates the turn signal is what broke. How do I get the plastic shroud off the column. It looks like the back has a small separate piece that can just pop off but I don't want to break it.

There are 4 small bolts that you need to remove once you take off that ring that will take the plastic housing off. Then from inside the 2 plastic housings there are some screws that hold the 2 pieces together. Don't forget to disconnect wiring and high beam rod

So I got the turn signal connecting rod replaced but have a new issue. After I got it all back together the left signal blinks about once every 3 seconds and the right doesn't blink at all. I'm scratching my head at what could cause this. Everything worked fine before the connecting rod broke

Check the bulbs and fuses? I had a vulpine that didn't flash only stayed on. Replace both bulbs and it worked again
