biggest bang for your buck is spring over axle lift. pricey, and not perfectly easy for beginners, but skip the non sense, if you wanna get serious, start there. if you wanna start small, put some lifted shackles all around and see how addicting lifting your jeep is.

^ i'm sure there's info on it here somewhere. the leaf springs get remounted on top of the axle. over simplified you weld on new spring perches on top of the axle to do it. there's also bolt on kits, but they kinda suck. pinion angles, and steering are important areas here making it a little more complex.

Swag: I recommend wheeling your Jeep a few times in its' stock condition just to see what it is capable of doing. Hook up with some seasoned Jeepers in a local club and wheel with them and talk about their Jeep mods. You can spend a lot of money fast on Jeep mods as most of us have learned! The experienced guys won't steer you in the wrong direction.

A modest 2"-3" suspension lift and 31" All Terrain or Mud Terrain tires will get you lots of places. Remember, it's not the mods that get you there as much as it is driving skill and experience! Just because Billy Bob has his Jeep all jacked up with big rubbers doesn't mean he knows how to wheel it!

(Disclaimer: "Billy Bob" is a ficticious character... we all know one!)
