Using a soft top in summer versus hardtop

I have a 95 YJ with a factory hardtop. I would like to use a soft top in the summer months. If I put all the hardware on can I put the hardtop back on in winter without removing all the hardware?

The soft top attaching hardware will interfere with the hard top so it all must be removed. On the plus side, it doesn't take very long to make the swap. The original installation of the soft top hardware requires some marking & drilling so it will take some time and patience.

The most difficult part of my hard top to soft top switch is detaching the roll bars from the windshield to slip in the sheet metal brackets that get sandwiched in between. They are the attachment for the frame piece that goes above the door and have to be removed because they do interfere with my hard top.

I make the yearly switch between hard top & full doors to a standard Bestop. When the weather gets really nice I switch to half doors ($20 Craiglist find) and Bestop strapless bikini. A cab cover keeps everything dry since my Jeep is parked outside.
