Question vac nightmare

ok...working with a 90 yj wrangler 4.2. just put clutch in it, now cranks but won't fire. does backfire occasionally just after cranking stops, plugs aren't getting fouled or even wet. Ideas?????

first timing second see if you can find a diagram somewhere i would help but i yanked all the unnesecary crap as i dont have emissions make sure you have spark and fuel first

If the timing isn't computer controlled, or at least is adjustable at the distributor, I'd say that would be your starting point. But I'm assuming you didn't mess with that when you replaced your clutch. I can't think of anything that would affect your engine runnning or not when replacing a clutch unless you pulled the motor to change the clutch.
