vacuum locking hub system?

hi all,
I'm replacing the front end on my jeep becuase the dummie who had it before me decided it would be a good idea to bypass the vacuum acuated hub lockers that came stock on my YJ and put manual lockers on it. i'm not entirely against the idea but a buddy of mine who has been jeeping for years told me that replacing the manual one would be fine but i'm just gonna keep chewing up hubs until I put it back to stock(the ones in there now are chewed to crap).
so what i'm asking is if anyone knows a link to a diagram for the vacuum locking system on my yj
so i can put it back to working order and go hit the trails.

its kinda hard to visualize what you're saying you have now, but there's simple ways to fix it, and going back to the vacuum isn't a good idea. what kind of hubs are on there now?

yeah it has the stock axle with manual lockouts off of a broco II.
I'm gonna change it back to stock until a later date when I have money to spend on burnt
lockouts.

you'll have to buy your outter parts, unless they're layinng around. out stub shafts, unit bearing (hub assembly) and brake parts.

you're probably better off swapping in a different axle, with that cost to unrig what you have.

i've never seen it before, but having manual hubs is a good thing. just not sure if your set up is actually working or not.

ok could u be kind enough to take a picture of that i don't think that u can put lock outs on that axle with out changing ever thing in the hub area so I'm thinking that u either have the shift collar locked in place or u might have a tj axle in their in with case u wont be able to change it with out alot of work becouse the tj would be a full length axle instead of the split shaft

sounds to me like there's ford knuckles, spindles, stub shafts, hubs and brakes on a d30.
