Exclamation Vehicle not starting...Could it be the Ignition Switch

I have a 95 Jeep Wrangler...4 Cyl...I went to start it and it wont try to turn over...It makes no noise...I checked the battery...And autozone says the starter motor is good...I know my relay is good...That leaves to me, the Ignition Switch and also the clutch switch...When I turn the key the lights stay on...But when I try to start it...The lights go out...Any suggestions...

P.S. I cant find the Ignition Switch to replace it...

if the lights are on, and go off when in crank position it sounds like the switch is good. do you have the dash warning lights come on for the first few seconds with the key on? if so the switch is fine.

auto zone is a bunch of idiots, i'd check power at the starter when cranking, if power is there, the starter is bad. you can bypass the clutch switch to test that.

good luck and let us know.

i'd say bypass the clutch first. w/ the starter in the jeep you really need a friend to crank while you have a test light on the switched side of the solenoid, and then to the starter to check power

jumper the switch. i can't remember without looking if the switch makes contact when the clutch is in, or breaks contact, figure out witch it does, and jump it around the switch

If its electrical...I have been haveing this clicking sound at my Power Distribution Box....It clicks around the Autoshutdown relay and wont start when its cold...But if I leave the key on the on position for 15 minutes...It will start on the first try...If I dont let the vehicle warm up...It shuts off while driving...I just wonder if thats any contribution to it not starting anymore...How do I get ahold of a new Power Distribution box...I had the Jeep Dealership look at it and they cant figure it out...They said they could if they didnt throw away info on vehicles every 5 yrs...Thats so they can make money...Any other suggestions on what it could be...THANKS FOR THE HELP SO FAR

i can almost bet its either the ignition switch, or Ignition Switch Actuator. you can bypass the clutch by cutting the 2 wires that go into the sensor and wire them together. also get the starter relay, pop the cap and touch the metal parts together while in neutral. that should crank it.
