vibration damper

I could probably find this in a search, but how hard is it to replace a vibration damper. The jeeper needs a new one because it has started to rattle and causes some horrible rattles. I brought in the jeep to get an estimate and they said $250 for the parts and $450 total with labor. Would it be hard to replace with just my sister? Or should we just bring it in and pay the charges?

it's not too difficult. you can rent the puller from a parts store and it is pretty straight forward. it'd probably take the better part of an afternoon depending on your experience.

yea, maybe a little bit young to be in the tank...maybe i'll be there later lol...haha and my sister is a little mechanically retarded. i'm getting decent, but improving, and it looks like we have to wait until she gets back from a trip in about a month to tackle this project
