Weird headlight/turn signal electrical problem

Hi all!
This has cropped up in the last few weeks - when I flip on my headlight switch, my left turn signal indicator on the dash lights up. When I use the signal, the indicator flashes normally, and the rear outside light blinks, but not the front one. It stays on the parking light setting (less intense).

Doesn't do it on the right, only the left.

I took out the bulb in the front, and no difference, and the socket was clean, dry, and rust-free.
I changed the bulb, front and rear, anyways, and no change.

I'm thinking it's a cross between the parking light circuit and the larger-element turn signal circuit. But its not in the bulb socket in the front or the rear on the left. Any thoughts on where to start looking? Any assistance would be appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks for the tip! Which ground are you thinking? The column or the light itself?

Thanks!

Dammit! I let this same thing ride for a week and a half until I finished finals! Now my battery is dead as . I couldn't find the ground to the rear blinker, but the front is still seated pretty tightly. Where is the rear ground? It is also the passenger side, any chance this could be a faulty thing? Ive seen about 3 cases of the same thing, all happening to be the right blinker.

Rear ground?!!?
