What front axle?

I have a 93 4.0 5speed with 4" suspension lift sua, 1.5" bl, 1.25" shackle lift on 35x12.5x15. I swapped a 8.8 with 4.10 gears cause the jeep came with a blown d35. I was just going to regear the front but after pricing it I'm thinking of just getting a used d30 with 4.10 gears already in it. This jeep is a camping/mild wheeler nothing crazy. Is this a good route to go and what should I change when swapping in the axle assembly? I don't want to go d44 cause I have brand new wheels and tires and don't wont to deal with a different bolt pattern.

YJs with the 4cyl came stock with 4.10 gears. It's a no brainer, unbolt the d30 you have and bolt in the d30 with the 4.10 reattach everything else and go camping!

I know the swap is easy I mean what upgrades should I do while im at it? Ill put a better cover on it but ive heard the vacuum actuator is a weak point and people switch to xj axles. Is this something to look into for mild wheelin or not?

Yes don't away with the CAD, would be an upgrade. Any solid axle for a d30 would work. And upgrades other than that I would throw a locker at it. Spartan, Aussie, or lock rite lockers would be good. $2-300 but worth the upgrade. If you have the $ a selectable probably would be best since it would constantly be turning with the solid axle shaft in place of the two piece.
