what is the best steering upgrade

What is the best steering upgrade Rugged Ridge, Rustys off road or are there any other brands out there? i would like a Currie to bad they dont make one.

Are you talking about doing an OTT style steering? or are you looking for 1 ton ends? or something else?

Upgrading to a "1 ton" end is a nice upgrade. But as long as you keep the inverted T setup I personally do not consider it much of an upgrade. The back and forth tilt of the tierod when you turn is lame.

Wouldn't it be a fair upgrade as far as durability is concerned though? Beefy DOM tubing combined with larger rod ends. As for the t style setup, I'm still rockin the stock steering, I wouldn't exactly call it responsive, but I don't have the dead spots that I hear people talking about all the time.

I agree it is nice for the stregth aspect. I do not notice mine wriggling around too much but I have a vid and the damn thing is flopping up and down all over. When i go Spring over in the front I will be doing something about it, but as of now the springs protect the tierod. I have hit it a few times and it is still going strong. And im not exactly taking the easy routes either.

Here is an example of why I do not like inverted t.

Only takes a few seconds to watch it move all over. Look at the steering stabilizer bolt.

This is why I went with the RR OTT steering setup when I did the SOA. I didn't want dead spots or steering play.
