I am looking around my engine compartment. (1987 yj 4.2 Automatic) Replacing a few hoses and I find this round piece with connections for two hoses. I know previous owner disconnected a lot. Is this all right like this? Does it need to be capped? I would search the forum and not bother the forum with this but I don't even know what that part is called. Thank you in advance for your time.

That is the decel valve for the factory setup. Looks like you are running an aftermarket carb, so that part can be removed and any lines connected to it can be capped off.
