wheel stud removal

hey all, I think I know the answer to this but I want to make sure before I start...

to remove and replace wheel stud there really isn't more to just hitting it out yes? I have the hub assembly out....just go at it with a deal blow hammer?

I have read to seat the new stud get a standard 6 sided bolt and crank down with my impact wrench to set it, then take it out and put things back together...do I really need this separates 6 sided bolt or can I seat it with a lug nut?

loctite on the contact/seating area of the new wheel stud yes/no?

thanks

so do I just torque it down to normal amount? should I do it without wheel before I put things back together to set or is that not even needed?

thanks
