Windshield Frame Replacement Doesnt Fit

So I am working today in dry fitting my new windshield that I ordered. Here is the link -

The holes are way off. It seems to be slight longer than the original. The exterior bracket holes are about 1/4" off from the frame. Seems like the frame is really poorly made - much lighter and the welds are sloppy.

Anyone have any experience with an after market replacement? How did you get the holes to line up? I am at a loss here. Thinking about returning it but I really need a windshield.

been following, mine is getting rusty. have you double checked the part # on the box to see if they shipped the right one? those guys are way more expensive than Quadratec. someone would be getting a butt chewing if it were me. good luck.

I compared prices and Quadratec was the same as where I ordered it from. So not worried about that.

I am just concerned how I am going to install the frame as the holes don't match up with the exterior windshield brackets.

Any idea where to buy one that is made in America? It seems that Quadratec and Morris 4x4 sell the same one - its made by Crown Automotive. Any alternatives are welcome.

I just installed an after market windshield frame in a friends 93' Yj few days ago, I had to use a screw driver to pry the bolt pads inside the new frame into place and retap the bolt holes to get it to bolt up. It did take a little bit to get it to finally line up and bolt up properly.
Kickin it

I really don't want to retap the bolt holes. The frame is just poorly made. The bolts aren't even close to lining up and the frame seems to be rounded around a lot of the edges making the hinges nearly impossible to fit it as the hinges are pretty square. I am going to call the Morris in the morning and see what they suggest. Then I might call Crown Automotive and see if they can help. Otherwise I guess I might go search around some junk yards and see what I can find.

This is really pissing me off......I want my Jeep back!
