Windshield Leak

So its been rainy for the last day or so, and I've noticed that my yj is leaking from the bottom of the windshield. There looks to be a gasket peeking out underneath the windshield, but it stops a couple inches from the end on both sides (it leaks right above the pass. side speaker).
I assume this is a pretty common problem, but couldn't find any gaskets or whatnot on quadratec or Jc whitney- any suggestions for a (hopefully cheap) fix? I was thinking about changing out the speakers, but don't wanna get the new ones all wet...

i ran a bead of non hardening caulk between the seal and the windshield. took care of the problem. also you could look into marine grade speakers. water proof and not expensive at all. they also make marine grade sterios.

Are you absolutely sure it's the windshield that's leaking?

YJ's are notorious for leaking through the heater duct.

Thing is, it's not the heater duct that's the cause. The cowl vent, gets clogged with leaves & crap. May even find dead critters in there!

This thing has a grille with little slots, & is between the hood & windshield.

You can unscrew the little grille, & clean some of it out, but the real problem is usually the drain tube.

You can find this tube, coming out of the firewall in the engine compartment.
It's a big black rubber hose ( looks like a jeep colon) that 90's down right away, ending with a pinch just above the starter. (on a 4.2L)

Clean that out with a garden hose from inside the grille above it.
