wipers don't wipe

I lost my intermittent wipers a while back, which wasn't a real problem because I still had low and high. Today low started working intermittently. I'm afraid that they are going to quit entirely soon. Does this sound like the switch or the motor? The switch is over $100 and since it is an electrical device is not returnable. I would rather get the right part the first time. Any suggestions on how to test the switch or does anyone know for sure where the problem is?

Sounds like it's time for a new motor. The relays that control the wiper delay are on a circuit board in the wiper motor housing. It's probably blown or dried up capacitors and probably not worth trying to shadetree it.

See...That is why I asked. I would have started with the switch. Thanks.
