wobbly auto transmission fill stick

I am newbie to Jeeps .My brother bought a 92 Wrangler 4.0l automatic transmission 4x4 and was doing a tune up on it when i noticed that the transmission fill stick was wobbly. Is this common and is there a fix for this?

As far as I know..... it is swaged (press fit) into the hole. Pull out dipstick and try lightly (LIGHTLY) tapping it back in.

there is a tab on the tube that bolts to one of the bell housing bolts..the tab may be broke off or the bolt either loose or missing
