Wrangler Unknown Leak

I bought a used 1994 Wrangler YJ 2 weeks ago. It was not leaking anything at that time nor did it leak the first week I had it. Today whe nI backed out of the parking spot at work I noticed a small puddle of clear fluid. I touched it with my fingers & I swear it looks & feels like water! It also has no smell...like I said, I think it is water. Well, I went to lunch & looked in the parking space I was in underneath it again, & there a small pool of liquid (water) was again. I came back to work & was going to ;look at the puddle where I was previously parked & it had evapertaed so I'm pretty sure it is water now.....it did rain yesterday & the Jeep was outside in it, so, this may be a silly question but did the water collect somewhere in the Jeep & now it is slowly getting rid of it??? I'm a first time Jeep owner & have never been around the things before so please excuse my ignorance!! Thanks for any advice or comments.

Oh, by the way, this small puddle is underneath the Jeep just to the right of the back of the motor...if that helps anything

Isn't there a drain or something on the hood that can leak if it gets stopped up? I thought that would leak in the cab though...

Check the drain for the cowl, maybe its plugged and holding water?

Do I do this by taking the 2 screws out of the vent near the windshield & cleaning that out if there is debris down in there? If it is clogged up. does it usually leak under the Jeep on the ground?

First off are you running antifreeze? If you are and the water is clear it's not the motor or anything serious. The only place that has clear water is your windshield washer reservoir, so if that's not cracked and empty you have water leaking from the rain. From your description of where I'm betting the cowl drain up against the fire wall on the passenger side of jeep. It's a large black tube with a pinched end. Give the end a squeeze and see if water comes out, also check and see if it's not clogged with leaves. Do you have a screen over your cowl vent? If not make one.
