Yj 4in lift with 2in body lift

So im trying to figure out the parts. I got my rough country 4in lift on the way. I am not feeling to comfortable fitting 33's on it so im putting a 2in body lift. If im going to through on this 2in body lift will i need bigger shocks? Pittman arm? Etc? and would i need the gap gaurds?

O and any pics of a yj with 4in lift, 33in tires, and 1in or 2in body lift would be nice. Thank you again for everything.

do yourself a favor and do a 1" body lift only. if you look in the yj pic thread, and the yj lift review thread you should get plenty of ideas on lift combos with pics.

Ok sure will but will I need the gap gaurds on just the 1 in body lift or anything else?

here's mine, 4" Rough Country, long shackles, and 3" body lift with 12.5 33.5 Mudders.
for me its too tall and now I'm deciding how I'm going to lower it.

Well for me I want it to look good, not to tall but not where the tires are scubing the fender flares everytime I flex. You think if I put 33In tires on with my 4 in lift and 1 in body lift that should do the trick?

no. body lifts do nothing but space the body off the frame. the do nothing to the suspension. they only make clearance. it is mostly agreed that 1" is about all you want. the rest is opinion. i hate body lifts, the gap between the frame and body is ugly. i doubt you'd like how yours looked with any more body lift than that.

i think RC recommends 33x12.50s with the 4" lift. so you should definitely be fine with the BL as well.

My YJ has the 4.5" RUBICON XD lift and a 1"BL (PA),..ON 33" MUDS..the factory GAP GUARDS actually stretched with the small body lift i put on..so they are ok to keep as is!!!

With my jeep wrangler i have a 4"suspension lift and a 1" body lift. 35"tires i feel are a little big but it all came with the jeep when i got it. the tires will sometimes rub but not terrible. I think you will be ok with the 33" tires and 4" lift but definitely would not use over 1" body lift. When it comes time to get new tires i will probably go with the 33" instead.

If you just trim your flares a bit you'd be fine with the 4" rc. To me, a body lift should only be use as a last resort. Some cases it's necessary, in yours I'd have to say I disagree.

Skip the BL and go with the 4" lift and a set of 3/4"-1" boomerang shackles. Use a drop pitman for sure.

I went with a 1" body lift so when I put more spring lift I can put 1" lifted motormounts and it does the same thing as dropping the transfer case without loosing clearance. Better driveline angle, without lowering the transfer case is a good thing. Cause when you lower your transfer case 1" its like going down 2 tire sizes. I will add i hate 2 or 3inch body lifts because they are so fugly. If you do go with any type of body lift get one that completely does away with all the old bushings and bolts. Dont buy anything that stacks new spacers ontop of old body mounts.
