Bought a '91 YJ a little over a month ago and have had nothing but problems. Now it's the clutch.
'91 Sahara w/ 4.0 and I assume AX-15. My throwout bearing has been squealing for about 3 weeks, but about a week ago, I noticed that the clutch pedal has been getting sticky. It has been sitting since Monday and tonight when I moved it the clutch was especially sticky.
As I was backing into the driveway the clutch pedal actually froze in the partially engaged position. I was able to work it in and out a few times and then the pedal hit the floor.
Checked the reservoir and it was empty. Filled it up and pumped the clutch to try to build some pressure. Checked the reservoir again and it was empty. There is now a puddle of fluid in the street.
Sorry for the book, but is this all related to the throwout bearing, or do I have a problem with a clutch cylinder?
